Could somebody have a look at their mirrors and tell me how many rubber dampers they have?
According to CMSNL there should be 2 but my workshop manual says only 1. They are numbered 24 & 25 ?? They don't show a diagram for the 1000 model so its not clear of how many there should be?

If you check the parts diagram file on the main site it shows 2 _________________ AKA Bald headed b'stard |

So it does. Well that’s got that one sorted then. 👍 _________________ Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other. |

Is there not one goes between the mirror and the fairing and one between the fairing and the fairing bracket. |

I think that’s correct.
One rubber shaped like a coffin goes on to the mirror and meets with the fairing and then the other rubber goes on at the other side of the fairing which meets up with the fairing and bracket. 👍 _________________ Bit of advice. I'm bringing this post back up again, so I can check to see if I've got it right. See photo.
Does this rubber go between the fairing and the screen?

I’m looking on the parts diagram in the main site and I can only find 1. 🤔 _________________ Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other. |

It’s ok I’ve found it. I was looking at the wrong diagram. _________________ Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other. |
