Cheers Yoda, just looking at all my options at the moment, thinking of getting a set of FZR headers, i know they`ll fit with a slight adjustment of the rad. big grin
Did your pipes work out ok, i presume you had no exup valve fitted? No rejetting or extra tuning etc required?

Yeah they worked fine. No exup to clean or get the dreaded death rattle. YZFKEV gave me alot of advice. Cheers Kev. big grin And Steve Kenderick of K2 explained how the standard Ace, well all exups really, are set up rich. I've even bunged in a K&N I got off flea bay, and I've no flat spots. In fact the new system works just like Kev said it would, and has increased the mid range loads. The bike is deffo faster thru the gears and seems to have a fair bit more torque. I was thinking of a dyno jet kit, but Steve said leave it as it is cheaper just to have your carbs properly set up and balanced. My carbs were done by K2 when I first bought the bike and they'd serviced it. Goes like a good un. I would also recommend going up a tooth on the rear sprocket. Cheap acceleration increase. unibrow

Buy a bit at a time. I try and buy little bits each month and have a blow out every 6 months or so. Depends on how much cash I've got to spend. Not spending much these days, as my bikes finished. unibrow

Just read one of Exupfreak's posts in workshop, seems ace's run better without the exup eek

I already know i could be in for some fun de-exupping (that a word!?)

Not much to report lately.
I`ve sold the OW01 bodykit, it was wide enough to fit, but had issues with the steering, couldn`t get the bars to turn, so its back to the drawing board. cry baby

Had a clear out in the garage and shed, sold/selling some YZF750 bits, made a few purchases, just awaiting delivery from the USA. ninja

Thought about cutting this one up to make it fit, just seemed a shame to ruin a perfectly good fairing.
Might fit standard one for this year, if i keep it then i`ll have a rethink. nod

Still not much more to report, R1 master cylinder arrived and fitted, just waiting on the calipers from the US of A.

Repaired a crack in the front mudguard, bit of primer filler and rubbing down to do later today.

My new clocks arrived, just have to try and straighten the top fairing mount to fit them.

Still trying to find a reasonably priced radiator, though going to take my old one today to see if its repairable.

And lastly, trying to convince Mrs RF9 that i need those 4-2-1 stainless headers. nod

One last job today, get the suitcases out of the loft ready for next Saturday ninja
