Rear Tire size options

I am due for a new rear tire, dated 2019, Bridgestone BATTLAX BT016R 180/55 ZR17. I noted that the stock tire size is listed as 170/60 17 . Any thoughts on whether to revert back to the stock size or stay with the size that I curently have?

Re: compatible paddock stands

Well I put it all back together, in doing so, I did notice that the axle nut was installed on the right side, the parts diagram shows it on the left, my other bikes are on the right and many that I saw on youtube videos. I did swap it to match parts diagram (so its now on the left side of the bike ...

Re: compatible paddock stands

Thanks, I ended up borrowing a rear Trackside stand that does the job okay. I would not buy one myself as it seems on the cheaper side from a construction standpoint. So, the reason to raise the rear wheel is that I can hear a slight click with each rotation of the wheel (engine off, free rolling in ...

compatible paddock stands

Hello all, I see that there are no threaded holes to add swing arm spools on my 1990 FZR1000, are there any recommendations for a decent quality rear paddock stand (ideally with photos)? Also, for the front end if you have one that you like.

cheers,

Pete

Re: Manual Cam chain tensioner procedure

Thank you for responding. The reason that I am asking is because it seems that new OEM parts are no longer available (including YZF), I have yet to remove mine to check where its adjustment is. I have a noisy exup valve rattle at idle, I greased the spindle and added the compression spring that was ...

Manual Cam chain tensioner procedure

Greetings, has anyone here installed a manual cam chain tensioner on an FZR1000? I am thinking about going with PSR on my 1990
Their instructions seem generic and mention blocking off the automatic tensioner oil feed line?

I am looking for the steps involved if anyone has done it please.

Thanks ...

I am British. The arrival fees are ridiculous , the best price that I have been quoted to collect, crate and ship is funnily enough the exact same price as I paid for it .. 1620.

But then a separate entity handles the arrival fees, port and import customs fees which are another 1250, so just under ...

Thanks for the probable diagnosis. That makes sense, yes I meant the switch was on reserve, the petrol level was probably too low for ON position to draw any fuel. I believe the seller only added a small amount of fuel, I am concerned about the formation condensation and no fuel stabilizer. My plan ...

1990 Yamaha FZR 1000 For sale. Colchester, Essex.

I will try to make this story as short as possible.

I currently live in the USA, on a trip home this summer I purchased the bike off ebay with a plan to collect, ride to Bath and store it there. I did tax it for 6 months.

Upon collection it would not not stay running for more than a few minutes. I ...
