The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.
dont use vinegar or any acid to clean your tank, get some bilt hamber deox-c and do it properly.
you can even line the inside of your tank with a fuel-proof liner then if you want...
also, your fuel filter should stop paint and bits of rust from getting to the carbs under normal usage, i would also lok at the fuel tank filters as they might be full of crap causing fuel starvation...or loads of crap in the fuel tap...

Cheers for the tips, the fuel filter will be changed and the fuel tap will get a good clean. With the Bilt Hamber it says mix with water would this be ok?
