The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.
Right then chaps I'm sorting a lock up clutch for the RU and I need to know what this oil feed does as you can see by the last picture it doesn't feed directly into the plates, it feeds here....
And exits here..
As you can see it wouldn't run directly onto the plates so what does it do ? ...
It's not a feed, it's a drain, the cover is an air/oil separator, oily air goes in the top, it's drawn through a basic Labyrinth that separates the oil which drains through the tube at the bottom into the sump

Is this one a crank case breather also, it leads into the air/oil separator also via the casting holes and two drilled holes in clutch case.

Only those who have been insane can prove there not insane! Can you ??? :-)
I've run mine without it even taken the pipe out that leads to the chamber in the sump as I'm running a lock up clutch with a window and it seems to be fine
