I took myself off for a quick ride out to Sherburn Yesterday afternoon. I was on my way back when I had a choice of going in two different directions. I picked one of them and got half a mile down the road when I thought to myself I'd be better off going the other way. Up ahead I saw a big pull in for a big house so I pulled on to it and I was slowly manoeuvring the bike round and the front wheel went into a pot hole with loose gravel in it and I lost my footing and over she went. I tried to lower it down to the ground as best I could, but I didn't escape from getting any marks on the fairing Luckily a cyclist was riding by and he gave me a hand to lift the big lump back on its feet.
looks like another trip to the paint sprayer. I'm starting to think I'm his best customer.
It could have been worse I suppose if it had caught the tank.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
Gutted for you mister. Similar happened to me years back. It just rolled over at standstill with bars on full lock. Similar damage
I bought a brand new panel (at great expense I may add)
I know not much of a consolation but we've all done it! recently!
