Rob,
I had a piece of round ally bar with a flat on one side and a threaded hole down the centre for the bobbins to screw into. They were welded to the swinger and then the bobbins fitted....if all that makes sense retard

The only problem was that it discolours the anodize and if its not the same grade of Ally then if its re-anodized then it would turn out a different colour to the rest of the arm....so I'm told.
Being as you KNOW where your arm was made , then I'm sure they could specify what grade was used for the original item and possibly supply some extra pieces rolls eyes

I use it as a grab rail when my better half ventures out with me.
there's a post in workshop of how I sorted it.
The rail is off a ZXR750

cheers
Paul

Nah, not 'going there'.......
to me IMO...as it is, it still looks pretty std..(with a few touches here and there)

IMHO, when the frames done it takes it to the next level. Almost everything thats been done up to now can be put back to std with relative ease should it be required; an i don't want to take it to the next level. The way I look at it is, I bought the bike coz I liked it as it was/is...by changing everything...is it still the bike I liked, and bought coz I liked it so much retard

anyhow, thanks for all the good comments folks cool

Paul

Quick question Stig, is your bodywork standard factory,or has it been resprayed?
Reason I'm asking is that compared to yours,my 90 is crap. sunfaded decals, and scratches all over the place close up.
its the reason I'm taking it off the road this year for a refurb. surprisingly enough even at close to 45k on the clock,it doesnt need any engine work!!
must be the regular oil changes nod nod
